REGISTRATION AT THE DRIVING SCHOOL

Application to the KVR

For the registration at the driving school, only a personal identification card needs to be brought along. For accompanying driving or students under 18 years of age, it is advisable to bring a parent or legal guardian.


For the application at the driver's license authority, the following documents need to be submitted (this application should be made well in advance):


  • Passport or personal identification card
  • Proof of adequate vision
  • Proof of first aid course (not required for extensions)
  • Registration confirmation (provided at registration)
  • Processing fee (approximately €44.70) (for BF17, an additional €11 per accompanying person)
  • Previous driver's license (if available)
  • Biometric photograph (not required for BF17)

Only at BF 17

  • Form for driver's license at 17 years (1x section A, section B for each accompanying person)
  • Copies of the front and back of the driver's licenses as well as the identity cards or passports of the accompanying persons


Please note:


  • Minimum age of the accompanying person: 30 years
  • At least 5 years of uninterrupted possession of driver's license class B
  • Maximum 1 point in the driving suitability register

Theory classes

The basic instruction (all classes) as well as the class-specific instruction for cars (Class B) takes place either:


  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM or
  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
  • You can find the current theory schedule under the menu item "Theory Instruction".
  • Class-specific instruction for Classes A, A2, A1, and M is only available by appointment.
